' The Golden '!'ext was from Proverbs 2 :6, "The Lord giveth wisdom : out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understaqding." Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "Final.ly, be ye ?11 of one IJlind, having compassion ant 1f anotper, lqve as brethren, be piti\:.1, be courteous" (I Peter 3 :8). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Ed<!y: "When we realize that there is one Mind. . the dir neighbors as vine law of loving ou_ ourselves is unfolded; whereas a belief in many ruling minds hinders man's normal drift towards the one Mind, one God, and leads human thought into opposite channels where selfishness reigns" (p. 205). Guy S. Osborn, Jr., formerly of Kenilworth, is making a three weeks' motor trip to Canada. He wm spend part of his time at Duke Child's camp near Duluth, Minn. is completing a fine brick residence of French design, which he will occupy shortly. The sate by Samson I. Eisendrath of his home at 527 Cherry street, Winnetka, to an undisclosed purchaser has just been consumated. Wuichet to S. J... Gillfillan, vice-president of the publishing firm of Frank E. Compton company. The land included in the sale i$ 110 feet on Washington avenue with a · depth on Greenwood avenue of 182 feet. The residence, which was built several years ago, is of brick and slate con~truction containing eleven rooms with three bathrooms and an attached two car garag~. The purch~ser has been a resident of Glencoe for some years, owning a home at 241 Fairview road, which he will vacate on or about October 1st upon taking possession of the newly acquired home. The location on Washington and Greenwood avenues is within a block of the club house of the Skokie Country club. Another sale in the Skokie club di5trict was the sale by H. E. Hoover to Alfred R. Watt of 100 feet of vacant proper.ty immediately adjoining the 18th fairway of the club. The purchas(t was made by Mr. Watt witl1 the idea of erecting a fine residence. The sale of Lot 56 Skokie Heights by Stanley P. Farwell to D. W. Lewls was made recently on which Mr. Lewis has started to erect a brick residence that will cost about $35,000. This lot fronts on Eastwood road. Directly across the street from this lot on Eastwood road Thomas I. Simpson sold a new brick English type re5idence with slate roof, containing eight rooms, three baths and at_tached garage.
