Dies in Evanston the Federation of clubs of the Tenth Henry P. Williams, veteran Chicago advertising man and former well kn~wn resident of Clencoe, died last :fnday at Evanston after a prolonged tllness. Mr. Williams was 69 years old. He was at one time city editor of the Chicago Daily News, but later entered the advertising business under the firm name of Marsh and Williams. In 1902 he founded the W-illiams and Cunningham firin, of which he was chairman of the board at the time of his death. Mr. Williams was a member of the Board of Education of New Trier ~igh school for eighteen years, servmg from 1905 to 1923. He was also donor of the Williams prizes for .literary excellence, awarded annually ·at the high school commencement exer~ises. Mr. ~liliams held membership 111 the Skokte Country club and in several Chicago clubs. The funeral services were private. Surviving Mr. Williams are a widow, one daughter, Miss Laura, and three sons, Lewis M., of Hubbard \IVoods · Richard K., of Glencoe ; . and Robert: at home. Memorial services were held at the Glencoe Union chttrch Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The chairmen of the department·s of work, as well as the presidents of the clubs of the district, gave outlines of their plans for the year's work. Reports on the registration and testing program were given, plans for the year outlined, and new members of the faculty welcomed. Following the meeting these new members of the faculty were guests of the college at the faculty dinner. Miner Coburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo ].
