November 30; 1928 WILMETTE '-LIF:E Hobby Show Is Set for Scouting Units Early in January Something entirely new in north shore Scouting is planned, to ·be held during the early part of 1929, a Hobby Show, t o demonstrate to parents and friendl'\, the various things that boys are interested in. The displays will by no means be limited to Scout work, but ~' ill attempt to picture the all-around interests of boys in connection with school and hpme anrl church. Each troop exhibit will be ::.:eparate and Yarious Scoutmasters are en deavori ng to have some one article from evt"ry boy in his troop included in the exhibit. lt is eJUJected that such hobbi ~:s as printing, le_ a therwork, handicraft, cra ft smanship in the various m etals, drawings, cartoons, literary efforts, etc., will be fully demonstrated. Each local troop is working out its own exhibit with a great deal of pride and will display it early in the for enoon on .January 25, removing it at the close of the program that evening. It is planned that a feature of the evening program, · will be the awarding of Life, Star and Eagle Radges.
