The committee of the Kenilworth Neighbors which was appointed to dispense the $1,000 pledge of the club toward the new memorial gymna·.sium in Kenilworth, is anxious to complete the list · of all men and women who enlisted for full-time service during the world war while living in homes situated in the present Kenilworth school district. · This district extends along the south side of Winnetka avenue, west to Ridge, along the east side of Ridge.: avenue to the Kenilworth-Wilmrit~? boundary line. The committee, which is made up of Mrs. Percy B. Eckhart, chairman, and Mrs. Edwin Bluthardt and Mrs. John Wilds, will give part of the fund for the tablet which will bear the names of those in service and which will be erected in the memorial gymnasium. Rumors of contagious disease epidemics in the public schools of the village are u'n founded, according to the nurses, but they advise that proper precautions should be taken. At the beginning of this week thirty pupils were reported absent at the Howard school on account of colds and sore throats, while forty-five were absent at the Central school. Two cases of mumps were reported at Central and a few cases of chicken pox at Howard. Several teachers also have been afflicted with colds this week, which have kept them from their classrooms.
