Dawes, president of the centennial. So many applications have been received for the $1,000 founder memberships that it has · been decided to raise $1,000,000 for the .fair by admitting 1,000 to that status instead of selling only 100 of them, Mr. Dawes said. General Davis and Mr. Peabody comprise a sub-committee of the fair's finance committee which includes : Samuel Insull, president of the Commonwealth Edison company, chairman; Britton I. Budd, president, Chicago Rapid Transit company; General Davis; Charles F. Glore, of Field, Glore and company; Joseph E. Otis, president Central Trust Company of Illinois: George Pick; Attorney Daniel J. Schuyler; Colonel Albert A. Sprague of Sprague, Warner and company; H. L. Stuart, president of Halsey Stuart and ccmpany, Clement Studebaker, Jr., president North American Light & Power company and George \iVoodruff, vice chairman, ~ational Bank of the Republic. To date, 129 persons have paid for $1,000' memberships in the fair, fiftyeight of them having been elected to membership at the last trustees' meeting on December 7.
