School Libraries Get Large Number of Fiction Books A large shipment of new fiction books has just been received for the Wilmette public school libraries it was announced this week by Miss' Grace Gayton, school librarian. The list includes forty-seven books on a wide variety of topics. The recent order for books has not been filled completely, however, Miss Gayton stated, and more are expected soon. Last year Morton came to New Trier and nosed out the home team by a lastminute rally, winning 21 to 20. It was the first defeat New Trier had suffered on its own floor _in four years. · Morton's school paper says "prospects look good." They were good enough to swamp Austin two weeks ago. The lights, scoring at will and substituting freely ran over the ponies, 53 to 18. The heavies also had an easv time, winning 36 to 17. · Last Friday however, the Morton ponies, 53 to 18. Last Minute Selections Arthur J. Taylor Named to Board of High School Arthur ]. Taylor, 835 Central avenue, \Vilmette, will succeed the late Leslie F. Gates on the New Trier board of education. Mr. Taylor was chosen at a special election in the township last Saturday. Since he was the only candidate for the position, voting was more or less a formality, and a total of only fifty-two ballots was cast, one of the lightest votes ever re·c orded in the history of the township.
