He won second place in the fifth annual Henry Playground Ice Meet held at Humboldt Park, Chicago, last Sunday. He is also entered in the Tribune and Herald-Examiner meets in Chicago. Young Finlayson is a New Trier High school student and was formally an outstanding athlete of Stolp school having been one of the four boys to receive the Wilmette Rotary club award for ranking above the average in scholarship and athletic prowess. .. Printing Studio Enters a Team in Volleyball League A volley ball team representing The Printing Studio has been entered in the Playground a n d Recreation league to replace the Wilmette Shoe store team which has dropped out of the league. The league now has a membership of eight teams and has narrowed into a hotly contested race for championship between the Baptist and Ridge Electric teams, each of which has won ten games and lost one . Al.e x Newton, Maurice Bosly, and Cy MacKinnon received certificates designating them as first class Scouts. Although good pitchers have not been lacking in the leagues, recreation officials announce that this is the first time in the three years of the board's existence that a no-hit, norun game has been recorded.
