J osephinc Diederich of Ni les Center \\'ere held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Pettinger, 1424 \VilnJette av enue, \"' ilmette, to St. Franci s Xavier church Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Mrs. Diederich, who was born and raised ii1 Highland Park and had lived on the north 3hore for man" years, died at the age of 70 years after an illness of seven weeks. For fifteen years she had been a resident of Niles Center until her recent illness when she came to the home of her daughter. Mrs. Diedrich i3 survived by thrt!e daughters and three sons. Two daughters, Mrs. Pettinger and Mrs. Peter Conrad live in Wilmette, while a third daughter, Mrs. David Maloney, lives in Chicago. One son, F rank Diedericl~, is also a resident of Chicago, while two son3, George and Michael, live in Niles Center. Mr. Diederich died three years ago. Mrs. N. C. Thayer, Jr., and her daughter, Miss Betty, 500 Fifth street, are leaving February 3, for California, to be gone several weeks. Miss Betty graduates from New Trier next month.
