S. Senate to Discuss "New Social Consciousness" Mrs. Anna Dickie Olesen, recent candidate for united States senatorship in Minnesota, is a prominent lecture headliner who will be heard here \Vednesday, November 6, under tl_1e auspices of the \Voman' s club of \Vtlmette. Mrs. Olesen is a woman of striking magnetism, and is one of the really rtmarkable speakers of the day. She says that she has no use for the woman who cannot eugage in politics without letting her home run dovvn, or who asks for special consideration because of her sex. She states that the great mission of women in politics is to "leaven the lump," and to inspire public opinion for better social laws. better lav;s for the protection of children and old people, better conditions for labor and for getting more happiness out of .life-such things as these. Mrs. Olesen will bring to her audience here a discussion of important problems, both national · and interna tional.
