Youth, action, comedy, and romance thrown against a theater background are outstanding features of this picture, which tells the story of how a sophisticated chorine helps a shy but clever boy sell his act to Broadway. The film is all talking and is full of music and good dialogue. "Buddy" Rogers and Nancy Carroll, who were so good in the leading roles of "Abia's Irish Rose," score an even bigger hit in "Close Harmony." The comedians, Skeets Gallagher and Jack Oakie, also contribute much to the picture. Fine~t of Films "In Old Arizona," th e only picture which Mae Tinee of the Chicago Tribune has considered worthy of four stars, will open a three-day en gagement at the Varsity next ·Monday. Direction, photograph , synchronization, scenery are superb throughout .. .. " "In Old Arizona" is the first talking picture to be filmed almost entirely out of doors. The outstanding performance is given . by Warner Baxter as the singing laughing Cisco Kid, a fascinating and gallant bandit. The other leading roles are well taken by Edmund Lowe and Dorothy Burgess, who comes to the screen from the stage. "Hot, Fast Melodrama" The Varsity has booked for Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17, "The Wolf of \Vall Street." This picture has been characterized as "a hot, fast cosmopolitan melodrama dominated by the sure, virile, magnetic George Bancroft, who, as 'the Wolf,' adds another powerful and convincing characterization to the goodly collection he has already contributed to the screen." Other noted actors in the cast besides Bancroft are Olga Raclanova, Paul Lukas , and Kaney Carroll. Fairbanks again playing D'Artagnan, will be on the Norshore screen the week beginning this Saturday, May 11.
