Born in Cincinnatti, Mr. Donnersberger came to Chicago when 25 years old and established his own real estate firm which he maintained until his death. His career in public office began in 1873, when he seryed as·. trustee in Cicero. After occupymg th1s office d as a county for eight years, he ser:ve_ commissioner for three years. In 1889 Mr. Donnersberger became a South Park commissioner in Chicago, and served on the South Park board until 1902. He resigned in that year. but was reappointed in 1911 and served until 1916. For ten years of his 18 vcars' service on the hoar:d. including the year of the 1893 \Vorld's fair, ~Ir. Donncrsbcrger was pre sident of that bodY.
