Allen, wife of David E. Allen, 209 Fourth street, Wilmette, pa ssed away Saturday night, December 14. following an illness of several months. Services were held at Mrs. Allen's girlhood home in \Ve st Chester, Pa., Wednesday. Burial was in West Chester. Mrs. Allen was born of Quaker parentage in Paoli, Chester county, Pa . . ::\f r. and Mrs. Allen came to Wilmette twe~1tv-five year ago. They were to have ~.celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary next month. Mrs. Allen was active in the \Vom an's club of \Vilmettc for several years, having been particularly interested in the building campaign for the original club hou se only recently replaced by a new structure. She was a member of the First Congregational church of \iVilmette. Failing health several years ago necessitated her almost complete; relinquishment of interests outside her home . Surviving Mrs. Allen are her hus band, two daughters, Mrs. Maude A . Philips of Kenneth Square, Pa., and Mrs. Dorothy A. Killian of Los Angeles. Cal.; and three sons, Ronald G. Allen of Pittsburgh.
