Mr. \Villis, the father of Bob Willis, gave a talk on a\'iation. He told us about the material used in building planes . FoJlowing the talk each patrol put on a stunt. Mr. Leach,· our Scoutmaster, had previously told us to base the stunts on Scoutcraft. Some of the stunts were pretty good. New Sea Scout Ship to Prepare a Busy Program The older Scouts of the \Vilmctt e Baptist troop 8 are organizing a Sea Scout troop of which Pery Arden wit! be in charge. \Ve will haYe about ten to register next week. \V c would like to have anyone who is 15 years old and really intere sted in seamanship to come and join our new ship. Our future plans indicate that we will have a successful trOQ..p. The new Ship number will be 43. Old Troop 8 is still going on with Mr. Bennett as acting Scoutmaster and with several Sea Scouts assisting. - Charles Taylor, Troop 8, \Vilmette. Troop 18, Winnetka, Is Pepped Up for New Year Troop 18 has started the new Scout year with a hang. We've already had one overnight hike, and intend to have another soon. Out of thirty-five Scouts, twenty-two were present at the last hike. Also, for four consecutive meetings we've all been in uniforms. So far our advancement is not as rapid as possible, but we'll get going before long. Troop 18 is out to rank high in the north shore troops.-Scrihe of Troop 18, \Vinnetka, Philip Swabacker. The troop was divided into two groups. Shorty Schilbach was elected patrol leader of Patrol 1, Leslie Robinson, patrol leader of Patrol 2. Patrol 1 is the Flying Eagle patrol. Pcurol 2 is the Panther patrol. Dr. Mitchell was present to give us instruction on first aid. He taught us boys how to tie bandages and we practiced them as he had showed us.
