Duplicates of a IS-volume set, ·'~l'he Pageant of America," and a 10,.olnme set,· "The World Book," have been purchased for the Howard school. Both sets had previously been bought for the Stolp school. "The World Book" is a general encrclopedia designed especially for uppe r grade children and for those of junior high school age. "The Pag~ant of America" is a story of Amencan progress in all its bran~he.s-histoqr, industry, architecture, pamtmg, mustc and many other fields. The Christmas order for new books ior \Vilmette school children was made up largely of duplicate editio.ns of expensive books, most o~ the!Jl tllustrated in color. Both the hbranes at Stolp and Ho\vard will have copies of the new volumes.
