Head to Be Honor Guest at Annual Session of Scout Council Walter W. Head, president of the national council of the Boy Scouts of America, will be the guest of honor and deliver the principal address at the annual banquet and council meeting of the North Shore Area Boy Scout council on Friday, January 24. The meeting will be held at the New Trier High school and dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Head~ who has been president of the national Scout council since 1926, is a resident of Chicago and is the president of the · Foreman State hank. · Elect 1930 ()fl&c:ers The annual council meeting of the North Shore Area council is the one large yearly gathering of all people connected with the Scout movement on the north shore. At that time officers for the year will be elected and reports for the past year witt be presented. · An award will also be made to the Scout who tduring the past has performed an outstanding act of life ~ saving. All scoutmasters and assistant scoutmasters, together with their wives, will be guests of the council. Special recognition will be accorded at this time to the wives for the splendid part they play in Scouting. Scout Parents W elc:ome Besides those mentioned above, all Scouters (adult members of the movement) holding positions as troop C0'11mitteemen, merit badge councilors, council members, etc., are expected to he present with their wives. The various Scout troops are also planning to have delegations of Scout parents present. It is expected that at least iOO people will be in attendance. The lot;:al district Boy Scouts committee of the towns comprising the council also plan to invite the various city officials ~·nd. heads of church and community organizations to be present at this meeting.
