This makes a total of forty new all-steel motor-cars purchased by the North Shore Line during the past two years. The new cars are the last word in modern transportation equipment, affording North Shore Line customers the utmost travel comfort and convenience. They have the new "easy chair" type of seat upholstered in Byzantine r·lus.h, emergencY, lighting, two toilets and a smoking compartment in each car. Two heating systems-hot-water c..nd electric-with thermostatic contro11 insure an even temperature at all times during cold weather. Greater visibility for passengers is insured by increasing the height of the car windows four inches. This was made possible by eliminating the sm'lll c·paque pane formerly placed at the top of car windows.
