Clarence L. Mellor, 89, of 1094 Pine St., Winnetka, died Dec. 10 at Evanston Hospital. Born in Canada, he was a resident of Winnetka for 52 years. Mr. Mellor joined Barco Manufacturing Co. in 1914 and remained in the railway supply firm until his retirement in 1962 in the capacity of vice president and general manager. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Medinah Temple Shrine of Chicago, the Union League Club, and the Western Railway Club. Surviving are his widow, Madeline; two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Jensen of Newhall, Calif., and Mrs. Shirley M. Haight of Kenilworth; a son, Clarence L. Jr. of Royal Oak, Mich.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 14 at Christ Church, Winnetka, by Rev. William S. Lea. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
