A graduate of Lewis institute, Mr. Hetticb became asso'ciated *with his uncle, tbe late William Scheidel, in the manufacture of scientific devices nearly thirty years ago. He was tbein- ventoi of the leakage transformer- as applied'to X-ray use, and was awarded the gold medal of. the Radiological Society'of North America for this in- venttion. Mr. Hettick was a member of the old Quilmiette Country, club. Heý had lived ini Wilmette for the past twelve years and',was interested in the civic affairs of the village. He was a mem- ber of the: Lake Shore Athletic 'club in Chicago and was a promittent Mason, beinig a member of Lakeview- lodge No. 774, A. F. and'A.- M., in Chicago, as well as of the Medinab, temple Shrine, the Consistory and tbe, Scottisb Rite order. He was, al:o president of tbe New Trier Republican committee. Surviving bim are bis mother, Mrs. Hermina Hretticb' of Wilmette, a daughter, Mis. URôsella H. Albert, wif e of A.1d. Arthur F. Albert of Chicag,, a brother August of Cbicago, and.two sisters, Mrs. Elsie von der Lippen of Wilmette and Mrs. Alberta D.. Irwin of Chicago.
