Because of foggy weather he did nlot see that he was nearing the road's end and must makce a turn, with the 'resuit that -the car struck an abandoned stucCo ro'adhouse which stood in line with the .road., The car -plowed its way through the building, forcing, it four. feet off its fôtundation and de-- molishing the interior., Mr. Carter was thrown. clear of the wreck, but Mr. McHatten was instantly killed. Mr. Carter was removed tothe Kenosha hospital, where he Nvas found to-have sustained fractures.of eight ribs,,one of which penetrated a lu.ng, besides many serious cuts and lacerations.
