The numbers played upon that, occasion were the Glazounow "String Quartet" in D major; the Loeffier "String Quin- tet" for three violins, viola, and 'cel-, Io; and the Schubert "String Quin- tet" in C Major for two violins. viola. and two 'cellos. Mr. Krupffick, w h o has been Krupnick, who is recognized as one of the most brilliant of the younger mtisicians, was principal 'cellist of the Chicago Civic orchestra. In April he made a successful debut recital at the Chicago Woman's Club theater. For that conceft many prominent Chicago and North Shore residents w e re patrons. Among them was Jacques Gordon, first vio- inist in the Gordon String quartet.
