The bit of scenery We present today is down on the Ravine Drive. near the lake, with J. Mcaregor Adams’ fine residence on the right and S. M. Millard'e on the left, both up on the bluff level. nestled among the trees. with bold, inspiring viewa out on the broad lake in front. Could this drive have been carried up the ravine all the way from the lake, to George D. Boulton's, or even to St, John's avenue. it would have been ’the ï¬nest street in these environs of Chit-ago. As it is. there are rare possibilities in it when the city can aï¬ord to expend a few thousand dollars on it. and will arrange with Mr. Adams for a suitableand permanent front. The difï¬culty now is that with no protection that long stretch of beach down to Judge†Fullerton's front, is naught but shifting sands. with deep gulchee. rough and uninviting.‘ Properly guttered, graVeled, with heavy teams kept off, the Ravine Drive may easily becoineithe choicest bir‘of roadway in the city. A little more development of the adja- cent property. and the owuers will eall for its permanent imprm'ement‘ wherein we will all greatly rejoice. HIGHLAND PINK, 71.13% 1‘? I897 OUR FAVORITE GLEN.
