The Christian Endeavor Society of the Congregational Church gave a missionary social at the\ home of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Arnold Tuesday evening, March 6. About 125 invi~ tations were sent out, but owing to the bad walking a very small- com- pany was present, to listen to the very interesting talk given by Mr. Price about his missionary work in the Caroline Islands. from which he has recently returned. After the talk refreshments were served by the social committee of the Christian Endeavor Society. Mr. Louie Favour “has been having. a very successful. trip in the east un- der'the management of the Star Ly- ceum Bureau of New York. He lec- tured January 18 before the Ameck’ neeiu Club, being introdueed by John Kendrick Bangs, editor of Harper’s Weekly; January 23 he lectured to the students of Girard College, Phil~ udelphia In February and March he will epeak m the leading cities of the south under the management of the Southern Lyceum Bureau of Louisville, Ky.
