Dreer Co. of Philadelphia send to Mr. W. C. Egan the noted Horticulturist of Highland Park a collection of 65 distinct varieties of Phlox comprising a good many hundreds of plants for the purpose of growing them†on for the Annual Show of the Garden Club of Illinois. No ï¬ner show of Phlox was ever held any where, the individual flowers of some of the varieties cov- ering a silver dollar with a good margin to their credit and in shades of the purest white and softest flesh pink to the deepest red. We were fortunate indeed in being able to purchase at a great expense the entire collection and shall have plants for sale of this stock in a short time. This should prove once more to our patrons that we leave nothing undone to secure the latest and best in every thing for the beautifying of the Home Ground. You needn't send East for your requirments in the way of hardy plants for every thing that is good and of real value for our climatic conditions we carry and sell as reasonable as it is possible to do. In no other line has there been greater progress made in regard to improved varieties as in the old garden favorite, the Phlox.
