An impromtu entertainment was given Saturday night by the cadets of the Nav- al Training Station from North Chicago. Mr. William Mather Lewis of Lake For- est spoke interestingly on “Preparedness". This address was followed by drills of all kinds which were of great interest to all. Three reels of motion pictures depicting the life of the Naval Cadets were an in- structive part of the program. The brass band from the Station made stirring mu- sic which gave the proper setting for other features on the program. There was a very appreciative audience to hear this program which was a great success. Tomorrow evening, Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Morgan are to give a motion picture en- tertainment. The pictures are to be German war picturu and Canadian and French scenes. The basket-hall game on Friday even- ing at the school between La Grange High School and the school team was a double defeat for Deerfield. The light- weight score was 9-24 and the heavy- weight score 22-28. Both games were well played end in view of the fact that La Grange is such a powerful team. the local boy: did well' in every respect. it was a Suburban League Game.
