On Tuesday thirty friends of Mr. and Mrs. Parnell and Miss Gertrude Zahnle enjoyed a trip to River Woods near Half Day where they spent the day ï¬shing and playing games. A large lunch was furnished and after supper they returned to Highland Park. In the evening Miss Zahnle, Mr. and Mrs. Parnell entertained their friends at a delightful dance, after which dainty refreshments were served. Every one present had a most delightful time. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Bell were host and hostess to ï¬fty friends and relatives on Tuesday afternoon and evening at their annual Fourth of July celebration. A delicious supper was served on the porch and lawn. Dancing, tennis and baseball were the features of the day.
