Schwah, pastor of the Ebenezer Evangelical church, from Isa. 21:11- ]2, “Watchman, what of the night?" After this address some time was spent in personal testimony, and then the last few minutes of the old year Were spent by the congregation on their knees in silent prayer. After wishing each other a “Happy New Year" the congregation separated for their homes well pleased with the ex- ercises of the last night of 1919. The following is the program for next week: Sunday, at 9:30 a. m.. Bi- The watch night service at this church was well attended and was a pleasant and profitable evening. The program was informal and yet most interesting and instructive. People from several of the city churches were present and took part in the exer- cises. The service began at 8 o’clock and was in charge of the pastor. Af- ter a spirited song service Rev. Frank Fitt, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, delivered a most instructive address from Mark 3:16, “And Simon He Surnamed Peter.” It was very heart searching and many no doubt were led to examine themselves as to whether they had received that new name which the mouth of the Lou. should name, and whether they were living up to the name. Then there was an intermission in which the congregation was invited to light refreshments served by the ladies of the church in the basement where a social time “was and...“ min people were torium who: highly ento‘ _. -...v u. uh, Dl' ble School.
