(‘all DISTRICT MANAGERS AND WANTED TO RENT â€"â€" Furnished SITUATION WANTED MISCELLANEOUS HELP WANTED FOUND LOST girl as Best 3pd ‘ipd H111 The second part of the program was a little bit of everything. Messrs. Freherg and Keogh were extremely pupular in their magical stunts which caused the audience to often wonder how this and that could be done. In fart ‘Freherg could perform anything out of nothing. Next raine John Galâ€" lagher and Joseph Heinzeman in a little musical skit of their own which was followed by a. Jewish monologue rendered by Walter Lenke. A clever skit entitled "Parade Rest" scored a big: hit as presented by Irving Brand and R. H. (Iutsler, both dark faced comedians, who enlightened the aud- ience with plenty of humor. The clos- ing number of the show was Tuullp Time." \\ hi(h included a dutch dance by Miss \liu- DufY} and Miss Hilda Larson. Too much credit cannut be given Mr. Lester Levin for his commend- ai'it‘ wnrk in producing: and directing the entire show. When Mr. Levin lnvk t'harge he remarked he would fur the benefit of the Highland Park Community Center. Anynne who wns unable to obtain tickets for Tuesday evening's performance will have the opportunity of seeingr it at the Elm Place auditorium Friday evening. Tickets for this performance are now >trivr- tn make "Ynu Tell 'l‘lm" a rcul good ShOVV, and he did. . Mr. Levin has all the requisites of being a professional in this theatrical line which was evidenced by this, stupen- (luus prwluction. On Friday eveningr bi this week. March 19. “You Tell ’Ein" will be ré- {watul at the Elm Place auditorium and has not yet selected his assist-' ants. That he has consented to act‘ as director assures the community that the dances on Saturday nights at the high school will be not only “ell attended but that they will be! wholesome dignified and delightful in every way. Duffy’s orchestra, our own Highland Park organization of musicians, furnishes the inspiring music for these ‘hops,’ and the smalll fee charged will be sufficient to make them self- sustaining and provide a small balance each week to be turnedf into the geneial fund foi furthe1 de- velopment of community work. Three; hundred and sixty-one totaled the attendance last Saturday night. Great enthusiasm and appreciation was expressed on all sides. These dances promise to be the‘ BIG feature of our Community Ser-_, vice and with constantly increasing:‘ crowds Mr. Brown needs the help of !: men to manage and of Women to;, chaperone. Highland Park women!‘ will be rendering themselves a ser. ; vice by going to these affairs and! knowing by direct contact the fine,‘ spirit of good fun and fellowship pro-l vailing while encouraging and mor-ii ally stabilizing the young people“ by their presence. In community: activities of this kind there is greati opportunity for young and ‘lessl young” (never old in these modernl days) to come together in mutual en-: joyment and understanding. Parentsl as well as children should ‘get thei; habit‘ of the Saturday night dance! duet was sung by Miss Gladys Pearl and Mr. Clifford Moran in “Nobody Knows and Nobody Seems to Care." This sum was so well sung that it made everybody feel rather blue or lonesome until the orchestra struck up [-11 the next number “Sahara" that made the thirsty move their tongues and think back to the good old days’ befoie .luly lst. Miss McDonald again proved a bi}: success in the singing of this song and Oh! how the audience did gulp at those words. A very popular number was “My Baby‘s Arms." sung so well by Mur- ray G. Moon and the interpretative dancing by the six entertainers, the Misses Alice Duffy, Hilda Larson. Gladys l‘earl, Lucille Rhinehart. Hen- rietta Shreve and Florence Shreve. All mstumes Worn by these six enâ€" tertainers- were gorgeous indeed. but the most effectiVe of all was during "My Baby's Arms" as they marched through the aisles of the Show. The closing number was “Dear Old lladdy lmnglegs" rum: by Jack Gallagher and all members of the cast. Throughout the first part of the program there were many en. wire: for the soloists and dancers. The tables in the cafe were occupied by members of the rhorus and‘the singing was always met with hearty l'espolinn The chorus consisted of the Misses Alice Johnston, Elsie Bloni- dahl. Alice Shreve. Edith Ringdahl, Florence Shreve, Florence Schreiber, Florence Simmers, Elizabeth_Silbel‘. the .‘lt'rSl‘S. Osborne lljelte. Calvin Aynsley, Fred Gieser, Wm. Harrison,‘ Lloyd Larson.
