HIGHLAND Pm; Lulu "w- uni-v.--“ If the past is any indication of the future' in relation to our Wednesday services it is not too much to expect that these services will equal the Sunday services in point of attend-' ance. and uplift. Last Wednesday eve- ning the rains descended. the winds blew andTâ€"well you remember the unfavorable weather conditions for any kind of affairâ€"and twenty-five persons braved the storm just to at- ttm} prayer meeting. It is unnecesâ€" sary to say the service was most wonderful. Mr. (‘harles A. Baker led the meeting in a very eflective man- ner. The testimony prayer services were marked by the divine presence. This Wednesday evening at seven- thirty Mr. Russel Wickizer will have icharze of the service. Christ's last ‘week on earth will be made the sub- ject of study. Following this service on Thursday and Friday evenings the I-prorth League will conduct servic- es in which the theme of this week will be continued. The method in these services will be to distribute informa. tion concerning our Lord's last week on earth; then by study and prayer to enter into his experience as nearly as possible. It is the present plan to have a stereopticon lecture by Mr. G. W. Barker of Lake Blufl just pre- ceding the Thursday evening service beginning promptly at seven o'clock. Sunday Services Last Sunday evening we had with us. Mr. Prentice, an electrical engin- eer of international reputation. Mr. Prentice served in Washington on the railroad commission. Served on a commission to study railroad systems of Europe and is now exe- cutive secretary of the National Bus- iness Men's Gospel Team movement. His subject was “Christ in Chaos." It, w‘as a great address and carried conviction. Four persons requested prayers. Next Sunday At 9:30 the Sunday school will have its regular session. At the close of the Sunday school there will be a short Easter program. At the con- clusion of this program a number of persons will be received into the church membership. At 7:30 we expect to have Mr. Hicks of Chicago as the speaker. Mr. Hicks is also a business man and comes to us with a most remarkable nxnerience. He will relate this 03(- oxperienco periem-e. Their predictions have been verified. The exceptional fineness of manufacture which is a distinguishing feature of the new Marmon 34 has proved in practice what it promised in theory. It has proved its value, in the smooth, liquid flow of power, in the surprising flexibility of the motor, in the freedom from vi- brationat all speeds. No matter how many fine cars you have owned and driven, there is a new motoring sensation in store for you, when you drive the new Marmon 34. We shall be glad to give you a dem- onstration.
