Age 80; born and raised in Lake Forest; attended Middlesex School in Concord, MA, bachelor's degree from Harvard College in 1950; two years service in U.S. Army; Certified Life Underwriter, joined insurance agency of Griffin, Ingram and Pfaff and served as president; graduate of John Marshall Law School; joined firm Simon and Ingram before joining the John Marshall faculty in 1966; 20 years as a teacher of U.S. history, constitutional law and economics at The North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka and 43 years as a professor of law at John Marshall Law School in Chicago; lifelong resident of the North Shore, active in his community, served as president of Winnetka Park Board; preceded in death by his brother, F.
