Age 97; born in Senjtur pri Celju in Slovenia; joined Royal Yugoslav Air Force before onset of WWII, after German invasion joined the partisans in the mountains; worked for a museum in Yugoslavia and learned the craft of art restoration; 1956 arrived as a refugee in Illinios with his second wife Fanci, sponsored by First Congregational Church in Wilmette; 1964 opened the Linden Art Shop in Wilmette and restored paintings for private collectors on the North Shore as well as the Art Institute of Chicago, retired in 2006
