Age 94; resident of West Palm Beach FL; born oldest of seven children in Nauvoo IL to Oscar and Nora Otterson, a coal miner/machinist and homemaker; dropped out of high school to help support his family during the Great Depression; drove a truck, hauled coal, farmed and helped build Norfolk Dam, worked as carpenter from Key West to Spokane WA; moved from Glenview IL to Fort Lauderdale in 1947, and to West Palm Beach four years later as superintendent for Ross Construction, became general contractor, elected VP of Palm Beach County Home Builders Association; age 83, elected to 3-year term on Lake Park Town Commission; preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Margaret, two daughters-in-law, Peggy and Letti, and four siblings, Bob, Gene, Claire and Richard - Date of Publication
