Age 90; resident of Glenview IL for 57 years; born in Normal to Les and Ellen White; grew up in various towns, spent summers on family farm in Hudson; in 1942 graduated from high school in Peoria; attended U. of Illinois in Champaign; enlisted with U.S. Army with basic training in Camp Wallace TX and engineering training at The Citadel in Charleston SC, shipped to Europe in April 1945, discharged in March 1946; attended U. of Illinois on G.I. Bill, graduated with degree in Chemical Engineering; married classmate Barbara Voss in March 1945; married Viola Stoll in 1988; active engineer with (The Energy Group( (analyzed sources for future power); preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara in 1985 and stepson, Neil (Becky) Nicholson in 2014
