I see no reason why prosperity should not remain with us for a long time." f LAKE FOREST MAN <* Joseph Peddle, well known employe in the Highland Park Fuel company‘s office for years, was summoned last Friday by the news that his father, William Peddle of Lake Forest, had been accidentally killed there on a railway crossing. Mr. Peddle, who is 58 years old, was on his way from the home of a daughter to take a loâ€" cal car at the Noble avenue station. An express ‘car, which does not stop there,â€"was approaching, and it is su posed Mr. Peddle mistook it for tg local. He hurried to cross ‘the tracks and was struck by the express and killed. An inquest was held Saturâ€" day, the jury returning;an open verâ€" dict. Mr. Peddle is survived by eight children. . His wife died about 10 years ago. The f\mfi'm held at St. Mary‘s church, ke Forest, on Monday morning.
