THURSDAY, North Shore Trust Company SENTENCE TWO TO DEATH _ LOCAL RESIDENTS IN LAKE COUNTY MURDER IN AUTO ACCIDENT John Brown, 32 years old, colored, 3652 Indiana avenue, Chicago, and ‘ Cominick Bresette, 33 years old, a Chippewa Indian chief from the La Pointe, Wis., reservation, were found guilty of murder by a jury in the court of Circuit Judge Claire C. Edâ€" wards at Waukegan and their punâ€" ishment fixed at death in the electric chair. The last execution in Lake county was in 1873. The jury deâ€" liberated 45 minutes. Brown and Bresette were charged along with three others, Claude Clark, Harold Martin, and George Boone, Chicako negroes, with having murdered William Beck, 34 years old, a farmer at Milburn, on the night of May 16 when he resisted them in their attempt to rob the home. Clark pleaded guilty to murder, admitting that he fired the fatal shot.
