Big Chicago Jamboree Northshore troops have a pretty * full program and a wide variety of ¢ fnterâ€"troop activities, but on Friday 1 Boy Scout News Camp Wilderne:s, which is a joint camp with the Oak Park Area counâ€" cil, will be limited to 16 boys and will be in charge of Scout Executive Walter MePeek. Both camps open on Wednesday morning, Dec. 26. Office in Larger Quarters The office of the Northshore counâ€" cil will move within the next couple of weeks to a larger office on the third floor of the new addition to the Masonic temple. The entrance is at 21 N. Sheridan road, Highland Park. One feature of the new office will be additional space for the display of Scouting ideas. Locai Men to Attend Meeting Every officer, committee chairman, board and council member, as well as members of all standing commitâ€" tees and troop committees, should plan to attend the annual growth conference of troop committeemen which will be held at the Edgewater Beach hotel, on Tuesday afternoon and evening, January 15 and Wednesâ€" day forenoon, January 16. A deâ€" tailed program may be secured upon request from the local scout office. News of the Northshore Troops Scouts look forward to two winter camps: Every scout would like to go to winter camp, but since this is not possible, every troop is given a chance to select two representatives to atâ€" tend winter camp as the delegates of that troop. After they have had the, time of their lives at the Cabin in the Woods four day camp or the Wilderâ€" ness camp in Michigan, they will reâ€" port back to their troop, telling of all the great times they have had. Applications have been distributed to the scoutmasters of all Northshore troops, asking them to designate their troop representatives. If there are any vacancies on Dec. 15, they will be thrown open to a waiting list of individual scouts. The Cabin in the Woods camp which will be in charge of Carl McManus, assistant scout executive, will be limited to 24. And the Northshore delegation to boys printing, making leathercraft and metaleraft, displaying collecâ€" tions of stamps, coins, books, etc., will be carried out. The exhibit both afternocn and evening will be open to the public. Further details will be announced later. The plan is for each troop to arâ€" range its exlubit and to have a troop table, showing their variety of hobby material.
