The 8A'si had seen the bitt lunch boxes and knewwhat 1ras-eomimr.--- The big lunches that the 8B’s had inside up consisted of fruit, eggs, pickels, gond- wiehep, cake, and ice cream. All this began to, disappear. After the lunch, a few more games were played. Then they went home, a tired but happy crowd. At length this march ends with every- one-gathered- around, the Elm Place fue pole. Then all the ftatrs which made the history of our country, are displayed on the pole, Old Glory be- ing the largest and the last. _ _ HOLD ANNUAL FLAG The ankuit fhitr day exercises will be held tomorrow, June 14, on the school grounds, at _.nine o'ploek. Flag Day has/always been a red letter day in the-history of Elm Place School. Every year on this day, the pupils parade down the street carry- ing many flags â€of different" kinds. Until this year, Elm Place has had to call in the band from the High SchooVbttt this year she has a band of her bwn, larger and better than it-ever, has been before, which with the help of the Lincoln School Band will accompany us tomorrow. A _ The championship of the baseball league eontsistintrof six schools along the North Shore was won by Elm Place. The league was formed by Coach Peel for the purpose of arous- ing the interest of the Grammar school boys in sports. The South section consisting of Ravinia turl Deerfield forfeited their games to Elrv Place beeamse'Deerfle1d had no team and Ravinia thought ft was not equal to play with us. Elm Place had morv practice than Ravinia. We got ou' practice with the High School Fresh men. Oak Terrace‘ won the North section. They played Gorton and Lake Forest and won all their games.
