At a meeting last Friday evening of the Amateur Baseball association of Lake county, it was decided that in order to keep the Arnateur'Usgue going in Lake county it Would be nec- essary to have " least six teams en- tered in the race. It was also de- cided that an effort would be made to enroll eight or possibly 10 teams: In order to do this we must have the co-operation ot the baseball clubs themselves. It is to the interest of every manager of an nmnteur base- ball team in Lake county to qstsroll his team in the Amateur Vague. The league offers you clean baseball, tt regular schedule of games, league umpires, and to the wittnintt, teatn, a chance to play in the National Amn- teur tournament. _ Urges Co-Operation ' in Amateur Baseball League in the County We wish this year to make the league more of a county loop than in fewer years. With this point in view, we wish to call this notice to the special attention of teams from Gurnee, Grays lake, Antioch, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Highwood, Lake Bluff, and Libertyville. Any other towns having an interest in this proposition may be sure of a wel. come. . The league will hold its second meeting at g p. m. Friday, April ll, at the Waukegan Y. M. C. A. All you managers who are interested, please be there and let's get going. If any added information is wanted, call me at my home any evening' this week.
