The cffices of the East Park district already are in the buildâ€" ing: tral and Green Bay is being offered for sale, and it is planned to erect a new central fire station on Green Bay road near the new water tower. When this is ready the fire departâ€" ment will vacate its present quarâ€" ters Brief History 3 \ The original city hall building was a smaller structure and now forms the rear portion of the building at Central and Green Bay. In front of it was a plaza with greensward and flower ‘beds. In 1917 the main porâ€" tion ~of the present building was erected on this plaza extending to the sidewalk in an extensive remodelâ€" ing operation, and this has been "the headquarters of the city government since that time. The commission form of governâ€" ment was adopted by vote of the people of the city in 1914, and in 1915 this type of city government began in Highland Park with Samuel M.
