General Statement of Curriculum (On September 15, 1930, a new private school for boys and girls will be opened in a new, fireproof building just completed, called "The Chimneys," located at 160 Center Street, Winnetka. â€" (About 200 yards north and west of the Northwestern station at Indian Hill.) This school willâ€" carry pupils from the first grade through high school, will prepare them for secondary schools and also prepare them completely for college. Its name will be Indian Hill Academy. This school may be termed an "oldâ€"fashioned" school. A child with any natural aptitudes or gifts in a given direction will be encouraged in that direction, but will not be allowed to do so at the expense of other studies. This school is being organized to meet several definite, «ducational needs which many parents believe to exist at present in .the North Shore communities :â€" A NEW PRIVATE SCHOOL At present there is only one private school for girls and boys, between Evanston and Lake Forest, which will carry the pupils through elementary school and high school.. This one school at present is unable to take care of a large number of pupils who have apâ€" plied for registration.
