G. Becker‘s garage. The tenâ€" tative date is Saturday, June 7.. The schedule includes iris, peonies, and aquilegia, both in specimen and arâ€" rangement. . Further notice includâ€" ing the schedule will soon be mailed. The chairman of the program comâ€" mittee feels that a word of explanaâ€" tion is due the members of the North Shore ‘Garden club concerning the failure of the committee to exhibit at the Flower Show held recently at the Stadium under the auspices of the Garden Club of Ilinois. The committee worked faithfully and arâ€" ranged the four exhibits necessary for entrance, when, at the last moâ€" ment, the contractor who was to build the porch, the fourth unit of the ofâ€" fering, announced that the nine foot clearance of the mezzanine floor where the porch was to be placed, was too low ‘for ‘the portale chosen; that to scale down the structure would ‘reâ€" Auce it so that the furniture would be disproportionate. â€" As four units were required for entrance to the show, and as there was not sufficient time in which to plan another porch, the committee voted toâ€" withdraw from the project. â€" Irma B. Cahn, chairman. /m Fine Program Given at Elm Place School on Tuesday Evening Station E.P.S. (Elm Place grammar «chool) sent out for public inspection, Tuesday evening, one of the finest programs broadcast for some time. Those participating in the program were the children of the school. Among the entertaining features was a circus, A bareback rider, tigers, elephants, tight rope walkers, clowns and numerous other characters that one would see in a real circus were there to entertain. ~ Various nations, namely, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Scotch, India, etc., were also represented. A band of cfi;'l;oyjé from 101 ranch, were present too. Another attraction were the exerâ€" cises, which many of our local women no doubt enjoy over the radio in order to keep their "girlish figure." ‘Then came the funnies.
