Harris, Chicago lawyer, will be one of the two summaries of Rotary’s remark- able growth in the past quarter cen- tury. _ The record of Rotary's achieve- ments and a glimpse of its future pos- sibilities will be described by Harry H. Rogers, Tulsa, Oklahoma, banker. who was president of Rotary Inter- national in _1926-27. Afternon Assemblies The program of formal addresses each morning will be followed by aft- ernoon assemblies where informal dis- cussions will be the rule. These ag- semblies start rm Tuesday with a ser- ies of 100 meetings, each one for Ro- tarians of the some occupation. All the Rotarians engaged in some branch of the woolen industry, from the sheep raiser to the retail clothing merchant, will meet for the discussion of the interrelated problems of the industry. A conference on business practices, which will bring together five Retar- ians from each country, to discuss the mechanics of international com. meree, is expected to be one of the most fruitful meetings of the con- vention. . Community Service The principal topic of Wednesday is "eommunity service," and the pro- gram of the plenary session will be devoted in large part to a "commun- ity service clinic" for reports from different parts of the world on activi- ties familiar to almost all communi- ties, such as Community Chest Funds, Crippled Children Work, and boy and girl life surveys. In the afternoon, the group assemblies will discuss in- formally the same type of commun- ity betterment programs. Thursday and Friday are devoted almost entirely to international ser- vice topics.
