Letter From Plane Lost 6 Months Ago Thursday, July 10, 1930 A letter from the mail pouch carâ€"| ried by the illâ€"fated airship of the Western Air Express company which was lost on January 10, was delivâ€" ered I'tst week to Irving Townsend, 315 North Utica street, Waukegan. The lost airship was found. two weeks ago in the Wasatch mountains of Utah by two sheepherders, who noâ€" tified the postal authorities. No trace of the pilot has yet been found. The letter received by Mr. Townâ€" send was postmarked "Los Angeles, Calif., 12 m., Jan. 10." It bore stampâ€" ed notification that delivery was late due to the wreck of the airplane on that date. All Veterans‘ Day, the opening feaâ€" ture of the Illinois State Fair, Saturâ€" day, Aug. 16, is established as a mark of recognition, on the part of the state administration, for the men who nave served in all the wars in which our nation has engaged.
