Highwood 2161 Sixty of our members and friends attended the Des Plaines camp meetâ€" ings during the Swedish week at camp. 50 of these wére present last Sunday. We were somewhat crowded at the cottage, yet everyone was proâ€" vided for. The spirit of the entire group proved the truth of the old saying, "The more, the merrier," And best of all, there was spiritual food enough to fill the hearts of all who attended the services. _ Our Des Plaines cottage has been rented for next week to a private party from the Methodist church of Lake Forest. Our Epworth League institute will begin at Lake Geneva on Monday, July 14, and continue over Sunday, July 20. Leaguers from three disâ€" tricts attend this institute, namely from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Janesâ€" ville. The institute will be held, as usual, at Conference Point, a camp located about a mile southwest of Williams Bay, ‘ and commanding a beautiful view of Lake Geneva, the Galilee of the West. North Avenue at Lauretta Place Frank Davidson Hopkins, Minister Our: Sunday morning services are proving of great interest to those who attend although the congregations are not as large as they might be even though it be summer. The series of expositions on the Parables of Jesus seem to be very much liked; there is some special solo each Sunâ€" day; the church is never oppressively warm. and fans are expected by next Sunday to help in keeping cool if the hot Sundays come. â€"All Methodists in Highland Park are heartily invited to come to their own church and asâ€" sist in making it a power for rightâ€" ecusness in the community; there is a cordial welcome and a place of real worship awaiting you. thew 7:24â€"27. As is the rule, the perfectly obvious in interpretation will be treated very briefly and an effort made to give some thoughts which grow out of our present day life, Next Sunday morning the pastor will give the fifth discourse on the Parables of Jesus, giving an exposiâ€" tion of the parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders, as given in Matâ€" both personal and civic. Is folly the same as wickedness? â€"Where lies the danger in emotion in religion? Where the value? ‘ How can we help the coming generation and our young people from dangerous building? We feel that those who miss these disâ€" whileness of the Christian church, We extend a special, friendly inâ€" vitation to such people to attend this service.
