It was: decided to write the city councilâ€"a letter to inquire the method to be adopted to secure land for a club house, the plan being to erect a building to cost in the neighborhood of $100,000. It was suggested by some members of the Highland Park club that this club might be induced to merge with the new organization when formed to make one large club. The idea is to secure a 99â€"year lease on & site and erect an adequate club house as soon as possible, In the matter of the harbor for 200 beats, it is believed that the best loâ€" cation is just outside the city waterâ€" works plant and the bathing beach, and the consent of property owners ulong the lake is required by the govâ€" crnment in such instances, it is pointâ€" ed out. Lions Clubs of North Shore in Golf Match The Highland Park zoning board of appeals refused to grant Mrs. Mcâ€" Crystle permission to erect a hotel building on Central avenue, adjoining the Highland Park business district. Since the property adjoins the busiâ€" ness district, Mrs. McCrystle mainâ€" tains that it is suitable only for busiâ€" ness purposes. Another step in the fight of Mrs. May McCrystle for permit to erect a hotel on her property on East Cenâ€" tral avenue, in this city, was taken Monday, when her attorney, William Behanna of Waukegan, filed in the circuit court a writ of certiorari which attacks the powers of the zonâ€" ing board of appeals and the city orâ€" dinance which created it, brandi the latter as illegal.
