Hopkins, minister This coming Saturday evening the "Cotton Blossom ‘Colored Singers," from Piney Woods, Mississippi, will give a program of Negro spirituals, folk songs and plantation melodies in our church. These young men are students of the school, spending their vacation in this way and spreading the knowledge of the work of this fine school for under privileged colâ€" ored boys and girls.© They have their own traveling home in the form of a very attractive house body built on an old chassis in which they travel, coook, eat and sleep. This group come very highly â€"recommended by churches in the north who have reâ€" cently had them and our members and friends may anticipate an enterâ€" taining program of such merit as to well repay being present whatever the weather. There will be no charge for admission but an offering will be received for the benefit of the school. The program will begin at eight o‘clock. Children should be accomâ€" panied by parents. Next Sunday morning the pastor gives‘ the seventh of the series on The Parables of Jesus, taking for this occasion the very suggestive parable of "The Empty House." At each of these midâ€"summer services there is a special solo or other musiâ€" cal offering. Mr. W. H.
