Sixth Week Program The sixth week of the Ravinia seaâ€" son will begin on Sunday, July 27, with the annual celebration of Italian Day, which is one of the most popuâ€" lar of the Ravinia series of national concerts, . The afternoon. program will be played by the Chicago Symâ€" phony orchestra, Eric DeLamarter, conducting, and with John Weicher, violinist, as soloist. The orchestral program arranged by Mr. DeLamarâ€" ter will include the overture to Cheâ€" rubini‘s "The Water Carrier"; four movements of Sgambati‘s symphony, opus 16; the "Marcia Reale," Italy‘s national anthem; Correlli‘s "Concerto No. 8"; Pedrotti‘s "The Two Flues" and the famous intermezzo from "The Jewels of the Madonna." Mr. Weicher will play as his solo numâ€" bers, "Variations on â€"a Theme by Corelli" according to the Tartiniâ€" Kreisler arrangement; "Columbine" by Drigo; "Preghiera" by Martiniâ€" Kreisler and "Caprice No. XX", by Paganiniâ€"Kreisler. The Royal Italâ€" ian Consulâ€"General G. Castruccio will be present on this occasion and will deliver a short address. This Italian concert, like all the Sunday concerts at Ravinia will be open to the general public and there will be no charge for reserved seats, the general admisâ€" sion at the gate covering everything. The operatic offering on Sunday night, July 27, will likewise be Itaiâ€" ian, this being none other than Verâ€" di‘s celebrated masterpiece, . "Aida." There is no work of the older school more popular than this, and at Raâ€" Gorsey, Ada Paggi, Philine Falco, Lodovico Oliviero, George Cehanovâ€" sky and Paolo Ananian. This work likewise calls for a colorful ballet in which Miss Ruth Page and Blake Scott are fetured. Gennaro Papi is the conductor. Yvonne Gall in the title role and with Edward Johnson opposite her as Julien. Mme,. Clausâ€" sen will again be cast as the mother and Leon Rothier will have the part of the Father in which he has won unusual acclaim. Others in the calt| are Miss Maxwell, Miss Paggi, Miss Falco, Mr. Cavadore, and Mr. D'An-l fervor which has made her outstandâ€" ing among the greater sopranos the world has known for more than a generation. Giovanni Martinelli will be Radames, and this is a part which suits him .to perfection, demanding vinia, this popularity is almost unâ€" bounded in view of the cast available for its presentation.
