At about four-thirty Friday morn- ine, August 29, signs of activity were seen in the vicinity of the Frederick S. Rummler hospital in Camp Ms-ka. Ja-Wan. the summer camp of the North Shore Area council. Boy Scouts of America, located on Sprink Lake near Eleho, Wis. Soon voices were heard, those of the eleven officers who had remained after the offieial closing of the camp in order to put the camp in shape for the winter. After break. fast and a big scurry of packing the camp truck, the two truck drivers, Cal Gartiey and Jim Baker, four other son'ur oftieers, Celeste Bettini, Lloyd Wizhtman. George Bersch. and Bob Mehron. and two Junior officers, John Brenner and, Leslie Robinson, got started for home at about a quarter to seven. The truck went home hy way of Antizn and State Trunk High- The troop assembled in their usual meeting place on Warrington road, near West Gate avenue. at 7:15 p, m. Fond du Lac was reached in time for dinner, and from there on in to the North Shore the ride was without any occurrence of importance, except for one traffie jam, met with on the out- skirts of Milwaukee, on County Loop 100. All were very glad to arrive home safely about nine.
