Thursday, Nov. 20, 1930 Mothers' Club The committee in charge of the program and the offieers of the Moth-) ers' club had a real surprise treat in store for the members and guests of the club at the regular monthly meet- ing at the Y, W. C. A. Tuesday eve- ning, Nov. 11. A delicious supper was served, 67 were present. Mem- bers of the Brand's orchestrn again entertained them with a delightful varied musical program. Mr. Schnei- der talked to the mothers, said there was no question but what it was the mother who ruled the world. The child ik first trained by the mother in the home. Mr. Schneider lead in group singing, being Armistice Day seV'cral partintic songs were sung. The Dee, The conducted Chicago educational tnurs were presented. The Mothers' club haveaieeided on Thursday, Nov. 20, leaving Highland Park at one o'clock at the Y. W. C. A., going and returning by motor coach. Thirty have signed up. . Gin. ter.and a committee of girls from 1meriuld are in charge. it is a busi- ness meeting. Educational Program Every class included in the Y. W. C. A. educational program is well attended and much interest is shown by those attending. Mrs. Lawrence E. Meyer is directing the Glee club, accompanist, Mrs. Goodwin Garst. The Glee club is working on several beautiful numbers. The dramatic class. directed by Edna Wood Miller, are now starting on a play. Mrs. Miller plans to keep all those in the' -clarvs doing something. They are also working on some Bible dramati- zotion to be given at some of the Sunday afternoon programs. There are 52 in the tap and ballroom class. instructed by Mildred Haessler. Celia Craig's sewing class on Thursday, 7:.'30 to 8:30 was another well attend- ed class. Mrs. Craig is not starting with the fundamentals of sewing, but plans to help you help yourself. Sew- ing is something we all need now, as the dress today must fit. Sunday Afternoon Tens Mrs. W. Rinkey Dink's is the name that was chosen by the Cubs Sr. for their new name. From now on this group will be called Rinkey Dinks. Out of twelve names suggested. this had the majority of votes.
