Dinners covering the following subjects were given on Tuesday: Effieieney in Gov- ernment. attended by Mrs, Hopkins; Legal Status of Women, attended by Mrs. Glidden and Mrs. Simons; and International Co-operation, attended by Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Sherer. Sessidns of the league were held every afternoon, at which officers were elected, revisions to the hy-laws voted upon, reports heard from com- mittee chairmen, and plans diuusscd for the program of work for the coming year. A program for the study of unem- ployment was adopted. The propos- al to increuse dues was rejected, Women on Juries Now that the women-on-juries ref- erendum has been won, the league will assist in securing “mes of wom- en eligible for jury service, and will print a pamphlet explaining the du, ties of Jurors. Deerfield Rotary Club to Aid Unemployment The Deerfield Rotary club, which was recently chartered, is grappling with the unemployment situation in that community as a major relief work and has arranged a free regis- tration plan, Those in need of work may file their names with Mr. Hout at the Deeriiehrphimmsey and the Rotary club will use its best endeav- or: to' obtain employment for them. The club, through this plan, aims to aid wherever possible, those residents who need work.
