"CADILLAC "UC a SA L L E You‘ll be convinced â€"by the facts. Don‘t judge by hearâ€" say or impressions. Cadillac and La Salle, properly classed at the head of the luxury group, are extraordinarily economical. They can be purchased and operated for many thousands of miles at costs not to exceed those of smaller, less powerful cars. This is only the natural outgrowth of broad production powers focused on quality mechanisms and bodies. Replacements, repairs, overhauling, adjustments are reduced almost to the zero point. Drop in and let us lay the economy story before you. CADILLAC MOTOR CAR CO. Highland Park Branch 108 North Third Street THE PRESS One, of the‘ main projects comâ€" pleted this year was the widening of Route 21 from Cook county line to Half Day. It is now 40 feet in width. The unpaved, gap on Route 21 in Lake Villa was delayed until too late to be completed this fall. _ Contract has been awarded for the grade sepâ€" aration structure over the Soo Line railroad and work will start on it early next spring. Route 59 Completed The section~ of Route 59 from Grand avenue to Ingleside to Rand road at Volo was paved this year with the exception of two small gaps. They will be completed next spring. STATE AND COUNTY HIGHWAY WORK DONE State and county highway work for the year has been completed and R. M. Lobdell, superintendent of highâ€" ways, reports that the year‘s work meets up with the fullest expectations. A wide margin was left over this year of the county‘s allotment of the motor fuel tax, and this will help out considerably in next year‘s work, Mr. Lobdell predicts. Although the Genâ€" eral Assembly may curtail the counâ€" ty allotment of tax next year, Lake county will â€"have ample funds to carry out their paving program. Much condemnation was required in getting ground for paving of all the gaps in Route 176 near Wauâ€" conda. _ This work was completed last fall. The state has signified its approva) of this work as well as the work done on the 22nd street road. Mr. Lobdell declares that a splendid job was done on the Des Plaines river bridge on Deerfield road. The grading work on Deerfield road has been completed and concrete will be poured next spring. Built by Refund The extension of Milburn road from Hickory Corners was also comâ€" pleted in this year‘s program. The Wilson road bridge over Squaw Creek is now finished and has been open to traffic for some time. . The Rock!and road from Route 42A to Route 42 in Lake Bluff was paved with the $50,000 refund money for I#st year to Lake county. A total of almost $250,000 in road work was performed in Lake county this year. The road and bridge comâ€" mittee insisted as much as possible that local labor be employed on the jobs. Much relief was obtained for Lake county unemployed by the comâ€" mittee. _ They will follow the same policy when the season opens next spring.
